Lateral surface of pronotum coriaceous, with irradiant carinae, which are thicker ventrally than dorsally, where they are relatively thin. Mesoescutum in dorsal view coriaceous and slightly rugose, with weak striae, which are stronger between notauli. Notauli not as wide posteriorly as in the medial sulcus, which is very wide (four times wider than long), moreover, the notauli are very narrow in the anterior half. Notauli, as well as the medial sulcus, weakly alutaceous and transversally carinated. Parascutal sulcus smooth and shining, with some transverse carinae inside. Median ridge very prominent and strongly coriaceous, anteriorly curved. Mesonotum, in lateral view, with a strong prominence where the median mesoscutal furrow ends; a clear protuberance is also noticeable in the anterior part of the mesonotum. Interfoveal carina, in lateral view, slightly below the level of lateral margins of scutellum, these being parallel posteriorly. Propodeal carina weakly curved, very prominent, very wide and alutaceous or striated, the basal area with a wide depression. Central area of propodeum with strong transverse carinae laterally, smooth centrally.
