The smallest representative of the genus in Melanesia, but its size is variable. Pronotum with elevated recurved carina on the frontal margin. Long and broad declivity, but notably narrower than in other

spp., attenuated towards the end. The costa around declivital apex is blunt. Punctures on declivity are of variable size, usually small and completely confused; however in some specimens the strial punctures are larger than the interstrial ones, creating an impression of a more aligned declivital surface. Little or no emargination of the apex of elytra. The dorsal outline of elytra is concave.
