This species is named after the shape of the outer and inner gonostyli, similar to the crane courtship call pose, the word

being from the Chinese ‘ḃñ’ in the ancient Chinese poetry collection Book of Songs (Xiaoya, Heming), literally meaning the crane is chirping.

). Mainly yellowish brown and dark brown velvety. Pronotum light yellow with reddish brown mid-longitudinal and lateral stripes extended to head and mesothorax. Prescutum almost dark brown, reddish brown laterally, with four slightly brown, vague stripes, median stripes broadened anteriorly and gradually narrowed posteriorly. Scutum dark brown with four brown spots. Scutellum and mediotergite dark brown, mediotergite with uneven white pruinescence. Membrane between prescutum and pleuron light yellow.
