Vorkommen der Art waren bisher nur von den Küsten des Mittelmeeres, West-, Mittel- und Nordeuropas bekannt. Obwohl bereits

Eisleben als Fundort meldet, hat diese Meldung bisher keinen Eingang in die mitteleuropäische Literatur gefunden. Das ehemalige Vorkommen der Art am Salzigen See bei Eisleben kann anhand des o. g. Materials bestätigt werden, eine Fundortverwechslung ist bei der Anzahl und Verteilung der vorliegenden Exemplare wohl auszuschliessen. Mit der Trockenlegung des Salzigen Sees Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts ist das Vorkommen der Art dort jedoch erloschen. Die Identität der an anderen Salzstellen in Sachsen-Anhalt und Thüringen gefundenen
<emphasis id="B976D6768C2D9573A080FD85BCAFFDCA" box="[177,254,575,597]" italics="true" pageId="12" pageNumber="815">Elbidus</emphasis>
sollte auf diese Art hin überprüft werden. Wo genau die mit &quot;Halle&quot; bezeichneten Individuen gesammelt wurden, ist unbekannt. An der Nordseeküste kommen beide Arten (
