of elytra red­brown; elytral apices darker red­brown; sterna, coxae, femora, palpi and antennal stems light red­brown, tibiae and tarsi lighter brown, antennal club dark brown with moderately dense white pubescence; eyes black. Body shiny; head, pronotum, and elytra with minute reticulate microsculpturing. Setation sparse, short, golden, suberect. Head with dorsolateral punctures elongate and fused, forming 89 strong longitudinal grooves beginning between antennal insertion and clypeus, extending posteriad beyond midpoint of eyes, and terminating before posterior margin of head; medial punctures becoming larger and more elongate basally. Eyes coarsely faceted. Mandibles large, bearing one well developed apical tooth and one feeble, weakly projecting rounded subapical tooth. Labrum rectangular, dorsal surface rugulose, anterior border weakly margined; clypeus shinier than frons, lacking reticulate microsculpturing, swollen, emarginate laterally and apically; with sparse evenly spaced setiferous punctures; frontoclypeal suture strongly arcuate. Antennomere III 33 long as wide, IV 1.53 length of V and gradually swollen distally, VVII submoniliform, VIII disk­shaped, X 1.33 length of IX, IX and X forming compact oval club. Pronotum (

Metasternum with dense row of conjoined punctures along posterior margin in transverse groove opposite metathoracic coxae and an anterior row of 67 large discrete punctures opposite each mesothoracic coxa; 56 medium sized punctures in anterolateral area of metasternum; medial area shiny with a few setiferous punctules; anterior edge with broad margin opposite mesothoracic coxa, metasternal suture complete, not strongly impressed posteriorly, abruptly depressed anteriorly forming pit at anterior margin; intercoxal notch keyhole­shaped, with broadly rounded anterior region, abruptly constricted mid­region and sides diverging posteriorly; metepisternum with longitudinal row of 68 punctures, each nearly equal in width to posterior half of metepisternum. Scutellum oval­chordate, with median carina more prominent in anterior third. Elytron margined basally; humeral calli large, epipleuron sinuate, narrow, extending to posterior margin of abdominal ventrite III. Abdomen with imbricate ventrites, not lying flat in same plane; ventrite I with shallow, irregular punctures; intercoxal process broad at base, narrowly rounded apically, raised medially, with raised margins on anterior and lateral edges; ventrites IIV with row of large conjoined depressions basally and small setiferous punctules distally. Pygidium with pair of elongate oval impunctate elytral binding patches separated by densely punctate column 23 punctures wide.
