: Valves elliptical to rhombic with protracted apices. Raphe branches almost straight, ending centrally in slightly expanded pores and bordered by slightly raised thickenings. External valve face shows a lanceolate median depression on both sides of the raphe-sternum, slightly raised up at the center. Transapical striae monoseriate, parallel at the center and radiate at the poles, crossed by more or less wavy longitudinal ribs.
