can be recognized by the following combination of characters: a relatively broad, subquadrate body form, the 4th elytral stria extending further posterad than either the 3rd or the 5th (Fig. 40E), relatively fine and sparse secondary punctures on both the frons and pronotum, small punctures on the anterior half of the 1st abdominal ventrite that are separated by about twice their diameters, and a small cluster of very fine metaventral punctures near the metacoxa (similar to Fig. 45C).
