Kibune), on Bambusa sp., 6.viii.1980 (Blackman RL); 3 apterous viviparae and 6 soldiers , Ljuin (Kagoshima Pref.), on Sasa sp., 24.iv.1973 (Aoki S). Distribution . China ( Taiwan ), Japan , Korea ( Tao, 1990 ). Biology . Its host plants are Bambusa omeiensis ( Tao, 1990 ) , Sasa sp., and other species in Bambusa (Poaceae) . Remarks . No specimens from China were checked in this study. The distribution information is from Tao (1990) . The morphological features in keys are based on the specimens from Japan in BMNH, which the corresponding author examined in 2004.
