Diagnosis.
Medium sized, body more or less flat; pronotal and elytral margins widely expanded, pronotal surface with depressions and weak tubercles; elytra very feebly costate and its surface with irregular striped markings; epipleuron slightly wider than antennal club and moderately elevated laterally; antennal grooves strongly convergent posteriorly; mentum pentagonal with small process in center of anterior margin; tarsi simple, scarcely dilated. This genus is rather similar to
Lobiopa
Erichson, 1843
, but it can be distinguished from it by: eyes with setae; antennal grooves strongly convergent posteriorly; mentum transverse; elytra and pronotum costate and pronotum with depression.
