Notes:— Hooker (1884) described Pedicularis gracilis var. khasiana based on the specimens collected from Khasia, Meghalaya , India by Griffith and others. Pertaining to the type specification given in the protologue, nine specimens belonging to the original material were traced (DD, K000739053, K000739054, K000739055, L2885949, L2885954, P04332991, P04332992 and U1726211). Of these, the better preserved specimen K000739054 from Hooker’s herbarium, is designated here as the lectotype .
