Oriental: 1) Cambodia , 2) China (south), 3) Laos , 4) Malaysia , 5) Taiwan , 6) Thailand , 7) Vietnam ( Hoogstraal et al. 1973 c , Phan Trong 1977, Tanskul & Inlao 1989 , Kolonin 1995b , Chen et al. 2010 , Vongphayloth et al. 2016 , Chao et al. 2019 , Zhao et al. 2021 ). Vongphayloth et al. (2016) recorded the presence of Haemaphysalis lagrangei or a species morphologically close to it in Laos , while Chao et al. (2019) found this tick in Taiwan . These countries are provisionally included within the range of Haemaphysalis lagrangei .
