Material : 1 male , 11.vi.–24.vii.1994 , Canada , Berland River at Hwy 40, 53.42°N , 118.20°W , pine forest, Malaise trap , leg. E. Fuller ( PWMP ) . Comments . The species is characterized by having 5 apical spines on the gonostylus, a distinct intergonocoxal lobe on the ventral base of the hypopygium and bare posterior wing veins. It is similar to Ph. quadriangulata Mohrig & Krivosheina, 1985 from the Russian Far East but differs by having five instead of four apical spines. Distribution . Canada ( Alberta ).
