Identification of growth stages. Instars A-5 to A-1 are known in the genus, but the A-5 instar is known for only
S. styx
(
Table 7
). The numbers of claws and bristles on the lamellae of the furca differ on species and also increase on later growth stages of the same species; therefore, they are useful for identifying species and growth stages (
Table 7
).
