Taxonomic revision of the Hydroporus bodemeyeri species complex (Coleoptera: Dytiscidae) with a geometric morphometric analysis of body shape within the group Author Hájek, Jirí Author Fikácek, Martin text Journal of Natural History 2010 2010-06-18 44 27 - 28 1631 1657 http://dx.doi.org/10.1080/00222931003760053 journal article 10.1080/00222931003760053 1464-5262 5209999 Hydroporus bodemeyeri sensu lato Material examined. Turkey : one male , Erzurum [recently Bayburt prov. ], east of Bayburt , Çoruh [= Chorokhi river], 1 June 1989 , M.A. Jäch leg. ( NHMW ) ; one female , south of Tatvan [ Bitlis prov. ], 1700–2000 m ( NHMW ) . Remarks. A teneral male from Bayburt province and a female from Van province , whose identification was not possible using genital characters, were included in the geometric morphometric analysis to clarify their taxonomic status. The analysis reveals that they clearly belong to H. bodemeyeri , their subspecific status, however, remains unclear. As these specimens are the only ones available from localities in eastern Turkey , far from the current known distribution of H. bodemeyeri (see Figure 5 ), we do not assign them to subspecies here.
