Body slender, fragile, length 4–13 mm , up to 80 chaetigers. Dorsal cirri long, some longer than body width. Midbody cirri alternating with short (13–22 articles) and long (14–44 articles). Chaetae with distal tooth smaller than proximal one, very thin. Three to five chaetae per parapodia. Reproduction. Unknown. Host . Specific ectosymbiont of the gorgonian Villogorgia vebricoides (Koch, 1887) ( Martin et al . 2002 ) . Remarks. The species is illustrated, described and compared with the closely related H. chamaeleon in Martin et al . (2002) .
