Diagnosis.
A
Dodomeira
group of small-medium sized species (length:
3.10–4.10 mm
) with sub-parallel elytra (length/width ratio: 1.60–1.65) and body shape sub-cylindrical. Epistome absent or inconspicuous. Mesorostrum with clavate or spatulate, golden-silvery setae. Antenna with length scape/length funicle ratio 0.64–0.83. Pronotum (length
0.75–0.95 mm
, width 0.83–1.00) with length/width ratio 0.83–1.00. Elytra clothed by imbricate brown silvery scales and golden setae clavate or spatulate on disc of elytra or elytral declivity; flattened (0–15°), recumbent (15°–30°), raised (30°–45°), semi-erect (45°–75°) setae on sides.
Distribution.
The species of this group are present in the Sicani Mountains and uncommon in the rest of
Sicily
(Peloritani, Erei and Iblei Mountains) (
Fig. 139
). Vertic-Cambisol (7), Chromic-Cambisol (4), Calcaro-Eutric- Cambisol (2).
Reproduction.
To date all species are parthenogenetic or probably parthenogenetic.
