Stenus cordatoides Puthz, 1972
Remarks.
Samin et al. (2011b
: 141) erroneously misinterpreted
Puthz (1972a
: 125,
1972b
: 280), who mentioned "
Stenus cordatoides
variant A" from Esfahan Province, which the same author later described as
Stenus turk
(Puthz 1972: 178). Therefore the Pontomediterranean
Stenus cordatoides
, which is distributed in the Balkans, Turkey, and the Levant, does not belong to the Iranian fauna.
Schuelke
and Smetana (2015
: 813) do not cite the species for Iran.
