Zavatilla logei : Lelej 2005 : 77 , ♀ . Diagnosis. MALE. Body black. Tegula dark brown. Flagellomere 1 as long as flagellomere 2. Clypeus smooth, anterior margin with emargination. Scapal carina apically without yellow strip. Metasomal tergum 2 posteriorly and metasomal tergum 3 with band of dense whitish decumbent setae. Apex of volsellar digitus and apex of penis valve located on same level. FEMALE. Scape, pedicel, flagellomere 1 and legs black. Flagellomere 1 length 1.45 × its apical width, 1.6 × flagellomere 2 length, which is 0.83 × as long as wide. Dorsal transverse clypeal carina with the two inconspicuous sublateral tubercles smaller than the basal median tubercle. Genal carina inconspicuous, anterad with inconspicuously visible tubercle on hypostomal carina. Mesonotum without prescutellar scales. Metasomal sternum 1 with carina divided by emargination into two equal size parts. Metasomal tergum 2 anteriorly with two subcircular spots of golden decumbent setae, separated by 1.40 × their diameter. Apical fringe of metasomal tergum 2 composed of whitish setae. Metasomal tergum 3 with band of dense whitish decumbent setae. Pygidial plate finely granulo-striate on basal half and mostly smooth in apical half. FIGURES 1–5. Wang, malaise trap (CSCA). Distribution. China ( Taiwan ) . Justification of new synonymy. The males of Zavatilla gutrunae and female of Z. logei were collected by the same collector in Kuantaushan (Taiwan). Furthermore, the male of Z. gutrunae and the female of Z. logei are the single Taiwanese representatives of the genus Zavatilla . Based on these data we regard them as opposite sexes of the same species. There is no direct evidence (a pair collected in copula ) to support the sex correspondence.
