Distribution in Guinea-Bissau (Administrative Regions): 1) BOL; 2) GAB. Historic records: — Bubaque (BOL) ( Brivio 1958 sub Smaragdesthes africana Drury ). Material examined: Béli ( 11º 49´12.93´´ N , 13º 54´19.36´´ W , 67m alt.) (GAB), 2-6.VII.2009 , 1 ♀ , CT, A. Serrano leg., ASC . Remarks. The species is widespread throughout West and Central Africa ( Beinhundner 2017b ; Schoolmeesters 2019 ; Serrano et al . 2020 ). There are several formally described subspecies in this taxon, probably some of them without taxonomic value ( 14 in Beinhundner 2017b ; 12 in Schoolmeesters 2019 ). The larva of the third instar of C . africana africana was described by Kühbander & Carl (1994) . The species is syntopic with Chondrorrhina abbreviata (Fabricius, 1792) in Béli locality. Ecological data were provided by Holm & Marais (1992) for C. africana subsuturalis (Kraatz, 1891) . It is a new species record for GAB Administrative Region of Guinea-Bissau .
