Possibly the largest genus of Spilomelinae,
Udea
now includes 214 species described from around the World (
Nuss
et al
., 2016
). The fauna of the
Western
Hemisphere is made up of 52 species (
Munroe, 1995
), excluding the two described as new below. All Neotropical species of
Udea
were checked to determine the two
Galápagos
species as new.
