var.
oreophilum
has not been recorded previously from
Iran
. However, it is reported from the northwest in
Azerbaijan
(
Fig. 1
).
Verbascum oreophilum
var.
oreophilum
differs from
var.
joannis
on filament hair color. The former
variety has
filaments with purple-violet hairs while the later
variety has
whitish yellow hairs (
Figs. 2
&
3
).
