Syntypes 2♂ , 3♀ (coll. K. Dietze in MNHU; examined), [ Kyrgyzstan ]: Karagai-tau; Naryn; [ China ]: Altyn-dagh. This is a readily recognized species, easily distinguished from other Eupithecia . It is usually common in Europe (from Ireland and Spain to southern Urals), Asia Minor , Caucasus, Transcaucasus, western Siberia, Kazakhstan , Turkmenistan , Uzbekistan , Tajikistan , Kyrgyzstan and North western China (Xinjiang).
