Range:— Endemic to Bolivia ( LP ) ; known only from the type collection. Ecology:— Rare; terrestrial in primary humid forests; 650 m . Notes:— Differs from G. jamesonii by having hairs of roughly similar length on the rachises and costae abaxially, glabrous adaxial blade surfaces, less deeply incised pinnae with more rounded segments, less pronounced basal acroscopic pinna segments, and smaller indusia with shorter hairs. There are a few long, acicular hairs along the pinna margins and abaxially on the veins.
