Aedeagus approximately 1.2 times length of valva, basal 2/3 uniformly broad, with a sclerotized plate at base, distal 1/3 narrowed triangularly, pointed apically; cornutus absent. Biology. The species is an important predator of aphids on bamboo ( Liu 1981 ). Distribution. China ( Guangxi , Guizhou , Hainan ); Korea , Japan . Diagnosis. This species can be distinguished from its congeners by the forewing having a broad longitudinal black band occupying dorsal 2/5. It is closer to A. brevisaccula sp. nov. and A. parignipicta sp. nov. The diagnostic characters to distinguish them are stated under the latter species.
