Etymology:

swatica’

type
locality from which it was collected.
Diagnosis:
—
Infundibulicybe swatica
differs macro-morphologically from its closest ally
Infundibulicybe gibba
by pale yellow to pale yellow brown to brown pileus with a dark brown center and bicolorous stipe: white at the apex and pale yellow brown at the base, in contrast to the pinkish tan pileus and white to off-white slightly paler stipe of
I.gibba
.
Anatomically, both species have smooth, lacrymoid to sub-lacrymoid basidiospores but the latter species has longer size of basidiospores (≥ 7 μm).

Description:
—
Basidiomata
small to medium-sized.
Pileus
2–7 cm
in diameter, umbilicate when young, becoming slightly infundibuliform at maturity, deeply depressed when mature, pale yellow (10YR 8/6) to pale yellow brown (10YR 6/8) to brown (7.5YR 6/6) pileus with a dark brown center (10YR 5/8), surface dry, margins involute, rarely revolute when young, sometimes incised at maturity.
Lamellae
decurrent, crowded to close, thin, narrow, sometimes forked, cream colored (2.5GY 9/2).
Lamellulae
present in a single tier.
Stipe
5–6 cm
long, central or sub-eccentric, equal or sometimes with a slightly enlarged base often with white tomentum adhering to leaves or woody debris, glabrous or slightly longitudinally striated, bicolorous, white at the apex, concolorous to that of pileus at the base.
Basidiospores
[n/b/p] [60/6/6], (4.0) 4.5 8.5(̶ 9) × (2.0 ̶) 3.5 5.0 (̶ 5.5) µm, avl × avw = 6.5 × 4.2 µm, Q = (1.1‒) 1.2‒2.1 (‒2.8), Qe = 1.6, lacrymoid to sub-lacrymoid, smooth, hyaline, apiculate, inamyloid.
Basidia
26 36.5 × 6 8.5 µm (avl × avw = 31 × 7 µm), narrowly clavate, hyaline in KOH, clamped, 2–4 spored, sterigmata 2 2.5 µm long.
Hymenial cystidia
absent.
Pileipellis
intricate trichoderm, hyphae septate, cylindrical, 7 13 µm in dia. (av = 10.5 µm).
Stipitipellis
intricate trichoderm, hyphae septate, cylindrical, interwoven, 3.5 9.5 µm (av = 7.5 µm) in diameter, hyaline in KOH. Clamp connections present in all tissues.
