Material examined. JAPAN : Kyushu, Nagasaki Prefecture, Tsushima Island, Azugawa, sweeping, holotype male, 23.iii.1998 , Suzuki (No. 353: 35). Diagnostic characters. The species differs from other East Asian members of the genus by having an antenna with 10 flagellomeres; AR 0.46; palpomere 5/3: 3.0. Tergite IX with semitransparent structure. Superior volsella and inferior volsella posteriorly hooked and joined. Emended description . “VR 0.59; Eyes bare” should be changed to “VR 2.0; Eyes pubescent”; “Gonocoxite with 3 inner lobes, the distal one large, long and nearly rectangular, the basal one smaller and acutely angulate, and the middle one horn-like, long, narrow and refer to “transverse sternapodeme, inferior volsella and phallapodeme”. Other characters are consistent with the original descriptions but some additional characters may be added: Tentorium 140 µm long, 20 µm wide. Wing length / length of profemur: 3.3. Palpomeres length (in µm): -; 15; 38; 65; 125, palpomere 2 and 3 ellipsoid, 4 rectangular, 5 long and slender; palpomere 5/3: 3.3. Superior volsella hooked. Inferior volsella triangular. Transverse sternapodeme narrow, 30µm long; phallapodeme slightly curved, 55 µm long. Gonocoxite 105 µm long with 3 long setae apically. Gonostylus 50 µm long.VR 0.59, HR 2.1, HV 3.35. Distribution.
