Remarks.
Dichomeris loxonoma
was described based on
two males
collected in Eala.
One male
(without abdomen) labelled “
holotype
” is deposited in RMCA, the second male “
paratype
” is deposited in Natural History Museum, London,
UK
(NHMUK). The species is characterized externally by light brown forewing with black maculate markings along costa, a black oblique streak and a brown spot in cell.
Dichomeris exsecta
(
Meyrick, 1927
)
from
Zimbabwe
is similar externally but the black oblique streak is divided in separate spots in this species.
