Comments: Collected at light, by beating’, branch bagging’, using boll weevil pheromone, flight intercept, and sticky traps, and by rearing from
Quercus falcata
, ‘hickory limbs’, ‘miscellaneous dead limbs’, and unspecified coarse, woody debris; also as
C. fumipennis
prey
. This was the most abundant of 35 beetle species reared from
Q. falcata
twigs by
Ferro
et al.
(2009)
.
