Ecology.
Collected in a wide range of habitat
types

Portugal
from sea level to
1,600 m
, with a preference for open humid habitats, especially grasslands and heathlands. Distinctly more common in mountainous habitats than
C. curvipes
. In northwestern Europe mainly found in wet oligotrophic biotopes, including heathland and coniferous forests.

Collected all year round (January–December).
