Diagnosis
The species of this genus share synapomorphies and similarities with the species of the genus
Iteaphila
, which also separate these two genera from
Hormopeza
. These characteristics include the lack of epipharyngal blades, the straight labrum in both sexes, the setose scape, the loss of costal bristle in the wings, the recurved CuA, and the tergite 10 fused to the cercus in females. The species of this genus are distinguished from those of
Iteaphila
by the presence of an unbranched R
