Remarks.
It is the
type
species of a group with its own name (
C. ventricosus
group
sensu
Schein 1954a
). The species has a wide distribution throughout Sub-Saharan Africa. The adult specimens were collected by LT (
Fig. 2c
).
Joly (2018)
provided biodiversity information (abundance, habitat preference) on this species for GHA. Other biological and ecological data are not available for the species, but see also general comments in

)
. Despite its large distribution in Africa, it is a new species record for
Guinea-Bissau
.
