Historic records: Bolama (BOL) ( Janson 1907 sub Gametis sanguinolenta Olivier ); Bafatá (BAF), Catió (TOB), Suzana (=Susana) (CAC) ( Brivio 1958 sub Gametis sanguinolenta Olivier ); Guinée Bissau (without precise locality) (Antoine 2005). Material examined: Bissorã ( OIO ), 15-28.VI.1992 , 1 ♀ , CT, A.Serrano leg., ASC ; Coli (Quebo) ( 11º 37´01.63´´ N , 14º 46´13.80´´ W , 48m alt.) (TOB), 10.VII.1995 , 1 ex. , BT, Bivar de Sousa leg., ABSC ; Susana (CAC), 18.X-3.XI.1997 , 1 ♂ , 1♀ , CT, A. Lopes leg., ASC . Remarks. The species is widespread throughout West, Central and part of Oriental Africa (Antoine 2005; Beinhundner 2017b ). Ecological notes were provided by Malec (2015) , referring that G. sanguinolenta is “very often found under the bark of larger trees, sometimes in a very hard wood”. Malec & Šípek (2016) provided a basic guideline to captive breeding for Gametoides subfasciata (Swederus, 1787) , the other species of the genus. Biodiversity information (abundance, habitat preference) was provided for GHA by Mudge et al. (2012) and Joly (2018) and for BEN by Touroult & Le Gall (2013) . Our specimens were collected using CT ( Fig. 2b ). It is a new species record for the OIO Administrative Region of Guinea-Bissau .
