Remarks.
The species is widespread throughout West, Central and part of Oriental Africa (Antoine 2005;
Beinhundner 2017b
). Ecological notes were provided by
Malec (2015)
, referring that
G. sanguinolenta
is “very often found under the bark of larger trees, sometimes in a very hard wood”.
Malec & Šípek (2016)
provided a basic guideline to captive breeding for
Gametoides subfasciata
(Swederus, 1787)
, the other species of the genus. Biodiversity information (abundance, habitat preference) was provided for GHA by
Mudge
et al.
(2012)
and
Joly (2018)
and for BEN by
Touroult & Le Gall (2013)
. Our specimens were collected using CT (
Fig. 2b
). It is a new species record for the
OIO
Administrative Region of
Guinea-Bissau
.
