In Brazil it has been recorded for the states of Goiás , Minas Gerais, Paraná, Rio Grande do Sul, São Paulo , and Santa Catarina ( Santos et al. 2020 ). In the PNC, this species was represented by three individuals collected beside Rio Santa Marta ( Espírito Santo ) at an altitude of 1,038 m . Sites in Serra do Caparao: CAP23. FIGURE 8. Phylloicus bidigitatus Prather 2003 Phylloicus bidigitatus has an Atlantic distribution, occurring in Rio de Janeiro , São Paulo , Minas Gerais , Bahia , and Ceará states ( Santos et al. 2020 ). In PNC, this species was found in two different streams in Espírito Santo , a new record for this state. Sites in Serra do Caparaó: CAP18 and CAP19. Phylloicus major Müller 1880 Phylloicus major occurs in Paraguay and Brazil , having been recorded from Rio de Janeiro , São Paulo , and Santa Catarina states ( Santos et al. 2020 , Holzenthal & Calor 2017 ). In this study, we collected P. major beside a small stream in Espírito Santo , the first record of this species for the state. Sites in Serra do Caparaó: CAP16. Phylloicus obliquus Navás 1931 We collected only two individuals of P. obliquus in the PNC: one in Rio José Pedro ( Minas Gerais ) and another in a tributary of Rio Preto ( Espírito Santo ), the latter being a new record for Espírito Santo state .
