Diagnosis.
Saccharodite saucia
is related to the large group of
Saccharodite
species
which have in profile a slightly angulated junction of vertex and face, broad forewings (with a broad basal median cell), and a broad proximal dorsal process on the male genital styles (e.g.
Sa. kagoshimana
(Matsumura)
or
Sa. imperiali
Zelazny
, both also found in Borneo). It is characterized by the red stripe across the scutellum base and by the very simple apical portion of the male aedeagus.
