Curtonotum uncinatum
species-group
Species included: 10 (Afrotropical).
Synapomorphy: Distiphallus with two dorsally-directed basal spines or dorsal ridge (45).
Tsacas (1977)
regarded 9 of the 10 species here ascribed to the species-group as a single species,
C

cuthbertsoni
. The 10 species are virtually identical externally and are only separable on the basis of slight, but consistent differences in the shape of the basiphallus and distiphallus of the male terminalia. As attested by the above-mentioned synapomorphy, they are here regarded as being sufficiently distinct to warrant inclusion in a species-group of their own.
