Diagnosis
: Frons wider than ocellus; frontoorbital plate bare or with 12 rows of hairs laterally; dorsal facets of eyes same size as ventral facets; inner margins of eyes usually parallel or nearly so. Parafacial bare; lower margin of face usually projecting; oral opening short. Thorax black or brown, pruinose or not. Scutellum black, with two pairs of marginal setae. Abdomen subovate or slender.
