REMARKS: Figure 27 is considered to show an earlier stage mature oocyte because the opercular rim is sharper and the disc of the operculum and dorsal surface are far more even than those shown in figure 25. Because of the distinct polygonal patterning of the posterior and lateral parts of the chorion, figure 26 may show an even earlier stage.
