Herein, a new host record and a new locality for this mite species is provided. Material examined. Five females and 5 males from Vireo hypochryseus Sclater ( Passeriformes : Vireonidae ), MEXICO : Jalisco , Chamela Station of UNAM , 22 May 2008 , coll. S.V. Mironov (SVM 08-0522-3/3); mite specimens deposited in AMU , UNAM , and UMMZ .
