Nevertheless, the diagnostic characters to differentiate this species from other Xyalophora species are not mentioned by Ionescu (1969) . The type material is deposited in MGAB and it was studied by Dr. M. Forshage (C. R. Ban, pers. com. ); according to Forshage annotations (C. R. Ban, pers. com. ), this material probably belongs to Xyalophora clavata ( Giraud, 1860 ) . For the moment, it has not been possible to receive this type material by post, thus we have not been able to study this species yet.
