Holotype , female, from Lindera sp. ( Lauraceae ), Wen County, Gansu Province, China , 32°56'43N, 104°40'27E, September 9, 2005 , collected by Zi-Wei Song and Xiao-Feng Xue. Paratypes , 11 females , with the same data as holotype . Relation to host. Mites are vagrant on the undersurface of leaves, causing no apparent damage. Etymology. The specific designation linderanis is from the generic name of the host plant, Lindera . Remarks. This species is similar to Calepitrimerus linderaus Huang & Cheng, 2005 , but can be differentiated by coxal area with short lines and granules (coxal area smooth in C . linderaus ), prodorsal shield design without median line (prodorsal shield design with un-continuous median lines in C . linderaus ), tarsal solenidion tapered (tarsal solenidion knobbed in C . linderaus ).
