F. Müller, 1776) ( Fig. 29 ) Hydrachna globator O. F. Müller, 1776 Material examined: 10 larvae deriving from 10 females . Larvae medium-sized: idiosoma 206–228 µm long. Dorsum : Dp egg-shaped (DpL: 196–220 µm ; DpW: 150–180 µm ); anterior margin almost straight; posterior margin rounded. Antero-lateral indents very small, 1/5 and 1/7 of plate’s width and length, respectively. DpW/Mp1-Mp1 3.5. Lp2, Mh1 smooth. Mp1-Mp1 (46–50 ųm) about equal length to Mp2-Mp2 ( 49–50 µm ). Venter : CpI:CpII:CpIII ratio 2:1:1.1. All setae on Cp smooth. C1-CpIm ( 14–18 µm ) about 2/3 of C4-CpIIIm ( 22–25 µm ). C1-C2 intermediate length ( 42–44 µm ). Expp rhomboid, clearly wider than long. Exp located somewhat below plate’s mid-point, about level with E2. Palps : PIII 1 bipectinate. Chelicerae : Basal segment bent cylinder-shaped ( 66–70 µm ), margins parallel. Legs : Shorter than body; LI= LII = LIII ( Fig. 5 ). IFe4, IGe2, ITi7, IIFe4, IIGe2, IITi7, IITi8, IIIFe4, IIIGe2, IIITi7, IIITi8 bipectinate; ITr1, IITr1, IIITr1, IIITa13 pectinate; IITi10 IIITi10 located near distal ends of tibia. Hosts : larvae of Dytiscidae ( Böttger & Martin 2003 ) , Dixidae , Culicidae ( Stechmann 1976 /77, 1978).
