Remarks.
According to the English version of the original description, the
type
specimen was collected from
Mt. Tapa-Shan
[Daba-Shan], near Pin-P’ien [
Pinbian County
],
1300 m
by
Huan
K’e-jen [
Ke-Ren Huang
].
Actually
, no mountain named
Tapa-Shan
occurs around
Pinbian
, but there is a famous mountain with the same name on the border of
Sichuan
,
Chongqing
,
Shaanxi
and
Hubei
, which is far from
Yunnan
, and the most famous mountain in
Pinbian
is Dawei-Shan. This
type
specimen came from the zoologico-botanical expedition to southwest
China
,
1955–1957
.
After
searching the related papers (
Xie
1959
;
Lee
1962;
Xiao
1963
), we confirm that
Tapa-Shan
is a misspelling of Dawei-Shan.
