, for which we selected the best-preserved specimen as the
lectotype

, for which we elected the sheet that possess the label with detailed information as the

, we verified that all three possess branches with thickened suber, petiolate and long leaves (>
10 cm
) with eucamptrodomous venation, concentrated at the apex of branches, and flowers with externally entirely tomentose calyx, oblong corolla lobes, and externally entirely tomentose corolla tube. So, we consider
A. macrocarpon
var.
macrothyrsum
and

as synonyms of
