provided a description of this species (

), which is endemic to
Tamaulipas
. Phylogenetic relationships among species of
Yeatesia
(Kiel and McDade 2014)
suggest that the genus is not monophyletic as currently delimited. With an EOO of
4,133 km
2
and an AOO of
76 km
2
this species could potentially be assessed as endangered (EN) if threats and their impacts were to be identified (
IUCN 2019
).
