PHENOLOGY .— Flowering: April–December; fruiting: April–December. DISTRIBUTION .— Mexico (Tamps.). HABITAT .— Oak forest, sometimes on limestone. ELEVATION .— 320–1400 meters. NOTES .— Hilsenbeck (1989) provided a description of this species ( Fig. 5K ), which is endemic to Tamaulipas . Phylogenetic relationships among species of Yeatesia (Kiel and McDade 2014) suggest that the genus is not monophyletic as currently delimited. With an EOO of 4,133 km 2 and an AOO of 76 km 2 this species could potentially be assessed as endangered (EN) if threats and their impacts were to be identified ( IUCN 2019 ).
