Discussion.
Dicranopselaphus
is a large genus with more than 30 species, and was revised by Lee and Yang (1996). Larvae are diagnosed by the shape of the tips of the paratergites and the location of the pronotal paratergites (
Fig. 21
). The species are distributed in
India

Singapore

Japan
, and in North America from the
USA
south into Central America. Adults can be collected at lights and by sweeping streamside vegetation. Five species are known from northern
