Identification.
Our specimens were identified as
A. nifefori
based on: small dorsal scales, in 21–34 rows; small head plates, with interparietal scale much shorter than width of head between orbits; and subdigital lamellae 16–20 (
Lazell 1969
).
Remarks.
This species occurred in the small forest fragment and in the grassland. Individuals were observed at night, for the first time, resting on leaves and small branches. Specimens varied in color, being various shades of green, yellow, and blue (
Fig. 7
). This variability in color has not been previously reported for this species.
