). Apterous; body length
2.8 mm
. Head brown, except mandible and clypeus testa- ceous; antenna brown; mesosoma, metasoma and legs brown. Antenna clavate; antennomeres in following proportions: 7:5:15:10:8:6:6:5:5:7. Head excavated, dull, granulate; frontal line complete; occipital carina absent; POL = 2; OL = 2; OOL = 10; greatest breadth of lateral ocelli about as long as OL. Palpal formula 5/3. Pronotum shiny, crossed by strong transverse impression, unsculptured, except many longitudinal striae on disc and lateral regions. Mesoscutum dull, sculptured by many longitudinal striae, laterally without two pointed apophyses (

). Metanotum rugose, deeply excavated behind mesoscutellum (

), with sides protruding; lateral protrusions slightly pointed (

). Metapectal-propodeal disc dull, sculptured by many slight longitudinal striae; propodeal declivity, mesopleuron and metapleuron transversely striate. Meso-metapleural suture distinct and complete. Protarsomeres in following proportions: 14:3:6:14:23. Enlarged claw (

with one big subdistal tooth and one row of seven lamellae (subdistal tooth located very close to more distal lamella). Protarsomere 5 (

) with two rows of 2+6 lamellae; apex with at least 25 lamellae. Tibial spurs 1/0/1.

Etymology
. The species is named after Prof. Clarke Scholtz (University of Pretoria), beetle specialist, on whose farm, Kelkiewyn, one of the authors (SVN) collected the specimen. He kindly allowed SVN to run traps on the farm.
