Muddy-sand intertidal. Remark. Sepahvand & Sari (2010) recorded this species as Callianassa bouvieri Nobili, 1904 , from Qeshm I. in Iranian waters. Komai & Tachikawa (2008) described a new genus, Paratrypaea Komai & Tachikawa, 2008 , based on the present species. Sakai (2011) synonymized these two genera and regarded the genus Gilvossius Manning & Felder, 1992 , as a senior subjective synonym of Paratrypaea Komai & Tachikawa, 2008 .
