Description.
Length:
5.4–6.3 mm
. Similar a
O. inbio
.
Male genitalia:
Pygofer about twice as long as width, moderately projected posteriorly, apex very widey rounded; macrosetae long, dispersed along apical half of pygofer (
Fig. 52a
). Valve triangular, with margins rounded. Plates long, with base very wide, apex rounded, setae short (
Fig. 52b
). Style with apophysis long, straight and apex truncate (
Fig. 52c
). Aedeagus in ventral view with base wide and curved, lateral margins straight; shaft long, narrow, straight, apex pointed, slightly longer than ventral processes; dorsal projection tapered and pointed at tips (
Fig. 52d
). Ventral processes arising close to base of aedeagus, slightly divergent from base to apices, slender, straight, apices pointed. In lateral view shaft wide, straight, slightly curved ventrad, apex rounded, slightly longer than ventral processes; dorsal projection like a wide irregular knob. Gonopore subapical. Ventral processes straight, directed dorso-caudad, apices rounded and knob-like (

Diagnosis.
Very similar to
O
.
obamai
, but in ventral view the ventral processes of
O
.
hansoni
are divergent from the base and the apices are straight, whereas in
O
.
obama
the ventral processes are slightly separated from base to apex and the apices are divergent.

This species is named for Paul Hanson for his help to the first author during his thesis and for collecting the majority of the specimens used in this study.
