Diagnosis.
This species is superficially similar to
A. simplicampa
Park
which was described from
Vietnam
, but the male genitalia differ from those of the latter by the shorter uncus, the basal process of the left valva shorter and strongly bent from near base, distal part of right valva larger and ovate, and the phallus strongly curved basally.
Male genitalia (
Figs. 10, 10a
): The male genitalia illustrations provided by
Park & Ponomarenko (1996, Figs. 37–41)
with their description are line drawings, thus photos are provided here for more details. In their description, the socius is broad and the distal part of valva is quadrate, but the socius of the specimens from
Laos
is more or less elongate and the distal part of valva ovate with convex dorsally. These differences are probably due to the different orientation of the parts in the process of dissection. The abdominal sternite VIII is deeply concaved medially on caudal margin (
Fig. 11
).
